William Frederick Woessner III's Obituary
William “Billy” Frederick Woessner III at the age of 62, entered eternal rest on October 27, 2025. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on May 9, 1963 to William Frederick Woessner Jr., and Carolyn Adams Woessner.
He is survived by his loving mother Carolyn Adams Woessner, his sister Donna Woessner Jenkins, and brother Shawn Woessner (Misty). Billy was a loving father to his children, Alyssa Woessner (Jody), Taylor Taylor (Matthew), Reed Woessner (Talitha), and Cody Woessner. Billy was an amazing father figure to Breanna Jarrell (Jordan), Logan Martin (Travis), and Makayla Holden (Cole). Billy was a caring Paw Paw to Landyn, Liam, Kinsleigh, Mila, Brody, Lennon, Mason, Adalie, Sadie, Kaysen, Kashten, Kestyn, Stetson, Lakelyn, and Asher.
Billy was preceded in death by his father William Frederick Woessner Jr. and his love, Shannon Welch Kennedy.
Billy will be dearly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful lifelong friends.
A native of New Orleans, and proud resident of Folsom, Billy graduated from Covington High School and attended Southeastern Louisiana University. Billy was a member of the Covington Lions Club since 1992. Recently, Billy dedicated his heart and soul to building schools for children.
Billy was a caring and generous man who would help anyone in need. Billy was loyal, brave, and kindhearted. Billy was a gift to this world that no one can replace. Billy will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral service at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 2:00 PM with visitation beginning at 12:00 PM until service time. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, 2280 W 21st Avenue, Covington, LA immediately following the service.
