To my sweet Sophie, you were always such a little bundle of joy whenever I was around you and never failed to make me smile and full heartedly laugh at your silly jokes. You and Zoe to me were the closest I had to little sisters. Despite the distance physically, I truly treasured you both. I wish I could have been around more, but the memories I have of you will forever be with me and you’ll live on in every laugh, every story, every bit of love we pass forward in your name. You’ll always have a special place in my heart, now and always.
Oh my. This is the hardest moment in time. May the Lord wrap his loving and perfect arms around you and your's and fill your heart with peace and in the future let the sun come out to warm you. God is always good in spite of tradegeies that we can't always bear alone. We are not alone. She will never be alone. She will be in the large cozy arms of the Lord who is perfect love. This can surround your family too and sun comes in the morning. He is perfect love with a large warm glow to hold you up and in place. He suffers with you and we as well. The Lord is your Shepard. You shall not want. He makes you lie down in green pastores. He restores yoor soul. The Lord is good and we are the sheep of his pasture. Know that the lord is good. His living kindness is on forever and forever (past this life). Amen..

When Sophie was 4 years old, she was afraid of Pawpaw Barry, always watched him suspiciously, and never would come give him a hug by herself! I mean, he IS a kind of mean looking man, although he IS a very gentle, kind & loving man! We were all at one of Masons football games, sitting in the bleachers, when she just comes to stand right in his face, looked him in the eye and said "I'm 4 now, and I'm NOT afraid of you anymore"! All of us had to laugh!! The way she said that, full of spunk, and very proud of herself, is something we will never forget!
Sophie was, and will always be, a very LOVED treasure!!

I loved our time together at school and going out to grab treats. I loved to hear you talk about your chickens, your puppy dogs, and all your favorite movies you love to watch. I was very blessed to have you in my life and cherish every moment that I got with you and your family.
I’ll never forget the time we all found out there are bug pieces in some of our favorite foods candy, peanut butter, chocolate, etc. Sophie was laughing so hard she couldn’t breathe, and she kept looking up more foods just to freak us out even more. It’s one of those moments that reminds me how her laughter could turn something gross into something hilarious. I’ll always remember that discovery and laugh her Mason and I shared together!
