Norma Hutchings Bossenmeyer's Obituary
Norma Hutchings Bossenmeyer passed away on Thursday June 3, 2021 at the age of 91. Raised in Newfoundland, Canada, she moved to New Orleans to marry her beloved, late husband of 60 years, Joseph A. Bossenmeyer, Jr.
Beloved mother to Gary J. Bossenmeyer (Jamie), Karen Bossenmeyer Duvieilh, David M. Bossenmeyer and James M. Bossenmeyer. She is survived by 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Resident of Covington for the past 22 years, Norma was passionate about her nursing career of over 50 years. She achieved one of nursing's highest honors in being selected as a Great 100 Nurse.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents Ambrose Hutchings, Jr. and Rose Smith Hutchings and her son in law, Richard L. Duvieilh.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21 st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Monday June 7, 2021 at 3:00 PM with visitation beginning 1:00 PM. Entombment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
