Michael Charles Lawrence's Obituary
Michael Charles Lawrence,76, of Madisonville, passed away on May 17, 2026. He was born on May 10, 1950, in New Orleans.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Shari Lawrence; children, Paul Wayman and Lauren Agnew; grandchildren, Bishop Agnew, Duke Agnew, and Athena Rodriquez; and many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Lehman Lawrence and Joan Claire Lennox; and brother, Mark Gordon Lawrence.
Michael was born and raised in New Orleans. He attended Loyola University, the University of Notre Dame, and graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with an accounting degree. Michael worked as a state auditor for the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals for several years before retiring in 2008. Michael’s passions in life were traveling, listening to music and spending time with his family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on May 30, 2026, at 11:00 AM at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana, with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
