Marie Cathlyn Gray's Obituary
Marie Cathlyn Gray passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026 at the age of 58. She was born in Covington, LA on April 2, 1967 to the union of Bernice Reed and Felton Gray, Sr.
Marie is survived by her sister, Marilyn R. Gray, of Covington, LA; sister, Bernadette Gray Ashe (Robert), of Winterville, N.C.; brother, Hilton Gray Sr. (Cheryl), niece, Cherimeka Gray and nephew, Hilton Gray Jr., of Amite, LA, and her very special friend, Stephanie P. Woods of Kokomo, IN.
Marie is preceded in death by her mother, Bernice Reed Gray; her father, Felton Gray Sr.; her brother, Felton Gray Jr.; and her sisters, Carolyn Gray and Linda Gray.
Marie accepted Christ at a very young age. She was a very active member of Bethel Reform Church. Marie sang in the Children’s Choir as well as the Adult Choir. She truly loved her Church.
Marie graduated from Covington High School in 1987, and participated in Special Olympics, winning numerous trophies. Cerebral Palsy did not slow her down much because she loved to cook, garden, macramé, read, do crossword puzzles and was a member of a bowling league.
The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, thoughts, gifts, calls, during this time of bereavement.
