Lee V. Hebert, Sr. passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021, at the age of 82. Beloved father of Lee V. Hebert, Jr. (Beth), Dr. David Jay Hebert, and grandfather of Grant B. Hebert and Mason E. Hebert. He is survived by his two bothers Read Obituary

Sorry for your loss. My husband and I both went to Abita and looking back realize he provided us with so much more than an education. He took me to my first SLU basketball game and was actually my cheerleading coach one year. He was an amazing man.

It is great sorrow I heard of Lee's passing. He wore a lot of hats but above all he was a Mentor. He shared himself with a lot of students and rookie officials and he will always be remembered as a gentleman.

I wish to send my sincere condolences and prayers to the family. I attended ASJH from 1980 to 1985; Mr. Hebert was an outstanding teacher and principal, and I think about him and the teachers often. Thanks to mentors like them, I recall those years fondly.
