Jo Ann Vesper's Obituary
Jo Ann Vesper, age 64, of Abita Springs, LA, entered eternal rest on Friday morning, March 27, 2026. She was born in Greenville, MS, on August 24, 1961, to Harold Mahlon Vesper, Sr. and Nancy Amelia Mangialardi Vesper.
She is preceded in death by her father; brother, Harold Mahlon Vesper Jr.; grandparents, Guerino and Mafalda Mangialardi, Dorothy Zillmer and Harold Liston Vesper.
Jo Ann is survived by her mother, Nancy; her sister, Lisa Renee Vesper; brother, Steven Liston Vesper and his wife, Gina; niece, Rachelle Adorno and her husband, Matt and their children Riley and Cameron; niece, Rebecca Hanagriff and her husband, Jason and their children, Jase and Mia.
Jo Ann was a graduate of Mandeville High School. Later, she graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University. While living in Shreveport, LA, Jo Ann passionately served for many years as the President of St. Vincent de Paul.
Jo Ann was family-oriented, loving, kind, humble, caring and loyal. From a young age, as the eldest, Jo Ann always wanted to take care of her siblings with love, discipline, and laughter. In doing so, her wisdom and love of God, country, and community, never wavered throughout life’s trials.
Jo Ann will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew her and met her. Her bright light and smile will be carried in our hearts forever.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte Street, Mandeville, LA, on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 10:30 AM until service time. Interment will follow the service at St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery, 75376 River Road, St. Benedict, LA, 70457.
