In 1970 Jim moved to Singapore and I took over his office (not his position) at Ingram. We crossed paths many times during our careers. Then, many, many years later I once again took over his office in Baku, Azerbaijan. My initial experience in fabrication was with Jim’s guidance, which became the baseline of my career. No finer gentleman to be found anywhere.
A fine boss and trusted friend for over 20 years. A wonderful family.

Jim and I met in 1972 while working for McDermott in Singapore and our families spent special times together.
Jim was a gentleman, a fun guy, and a man of the highest integrity.
We remained in contact for all those 50 years and I am very sad,
He was my close friend.
He's with Myrtis now and she will make sure he doesn't stay too long at Chequers and forget to pick her up at the hairdresser's.

Jim and were work partners and good friends for many years. We lost touch over the years and that was my fault and loss. I admired him greatly and found him to be a wonderful person. God rest his soul. My most sincere condolences to his family.
Ruth Ann and Jay Bennett knew the Franklin's when we all lived in Singapore. Great memories of football games and parties spent with Jim and Myrtis. Sorry to hear of Jim's passing.
