Hollis "Jack" Lamar Odom's Obituary
Hollis L. Odom departed this earth on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at the age of 94.
Born January 31, 1928 at Charity Hospital in New Orleans to Beulah Morgan and Hollis Odom, Jack was raised in Folsom by his grandparents John and Mary “Cronie” Morgan.
Jack joined the United States Navy at the age of 17 and spent two years on a ship overseas. When returning home Jack reenlisted in the United States Air Force where he became a successful airplane mechanic. Jack, who was active in three wars, World War II, The Korean War, and The Vietnam War, took pride in defending our country.
An avid storyteller, Jack would entertain his loved ones with tales of his childhood, growing up on the farm in the 30’s and 40’s, and his adventures traveling the world.
He will be missed by his family and friends. The family would like to give a special “Thank you” to Doug, who has been a very good friend to Jack.
