Edna Rose Ogden's Obituary
Rose Ogden, age 81, of Covington, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. She was born on February 19, 1944, in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
She is survived by her children, Ashton Joseph Charree, III (Cheryl), Charlene Charree-Taylor (Chris), Christina Charree, and Michael Saladino (Bridget); grandchildren, Patrick Charree (Ashley), Jasmine Lair (Alex), Sarah Taylor, John Matthew Busch, Brayson Saladino, Landon Saladino, and Beckham Saladino; and great-grandchildren, Henry and Peter Charree and Lillian, Elijah, and Wyatt Lair.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Miffen Ogden and Mildred Morrison Ogden; and an infant son, Anthony Charree.
Edna Rose was born in Oklahoma and later lived in California and Alaska during childhood. She attended Gallaudet University in Colorado where she met and married Ashton Joseph Charree, Jr. After marriage, Edna moved to Louisiana where she lived until Hurricane Katrina, when she evacuated to Crowley, Texas for a few years until returning to Louisiana. Edna retired from the United States Post Office after 30 years of service in downtown New Orleans. Edna loved spending time with family and was the family photographer at every gathering. Affectionately called “Grandma Rosie” by her great grandchildren, she was also known for her great sense of humor and special love for animals, having had pets throughout her life. Edna’s hobbies included gardening and collecting figurines and dolls of popular icons.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service on Friday, February, 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana, with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM.
