Dennis Jude Dufour's Obituary
Dennis Jude Dufour, age 80, of Madisonville, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026. He was born on January 25, 1946, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Martha “Dickie” Franklin Dufour; children, Darren Dufour (Maureen) and Reneé Long (Jason); grandchildren, Daniel Dufour, Lily Dufour, Mason Tusa, and Blaine Tusa; brother-in-law, John Franklin (Donna); sisters-in-law, Patty Franklin and Jeanne Dufour; nephew, Paul Dufour; longtime family friends, John Serio and Nancy and Terry McCarthy; and many other extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul John Dufour and Melba Bischof Dufour; and a brother, Don Dufour.
Dennis grew up in the Ninth Ward of New Orleans and graduated from Holy Cross High School in 1964. He then earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Southeastern Louisiana College, now known as Southeastern Louisiana University. He worked for many years as a jack-of-all-trades businessman and property developer. He will be remembered as an exceptionally generous and devoted family man.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial mass at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at St. Anslem Catholic Church, 306 St. Mary Street, Madisonville, Louisiana, with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment will be private.
