I didn’t know Mr.Charles long, but the short time I did get to know him was enough for me to create a bond. He always made me smile with his humor, and made my heart feel warm with his sweet smile. He loved my pineapple upside down cake 💙 he is missed dearly and will forever be in our thoughts. I’m blessed I got to be a part of his journey. 💐💝

Charlie got a puppy named Scarlet and when I came to visit there was a sign on the garage door the said “Be aware of the dog” not Beware but Be Aware and it was hilarious, it’s been running joke for years. I was privileged to meet him and joke with him. How lucky were we to know him.
For several Christmases, Charlie would read the Cajun version of the night before Christmas for all of the kids on Christmas Eve, while mama Reeves made the best quail gumbo in the world. It was the best memories ever for myself and my children.
