What an absolute joy it was to visit with Carolyn! We laughed, talked about current events, she shared about growing up in New Orleans the Depression and World War II, we shared faith conversations. Carolyn loved life, loved to laugh, loved people--especially children--loved her family, loved the church and loved her Lord.
Education was important to Carolyn--she would say she never wanted to stop learning, and was curious about everything! She passed that love of education on to her children and grandchildren and was so proud of all you for how you pursued education, and used that to help others.
Thatcher, Brantley, and Christian--we spent many an hour talking about how you were the loves of her heart. I hope you always remember how much your great granny loved and adored you. You all gave her great joy. Carolyn told me that the first things she saw in the mornings and the last things she saw at night were your pictures and that she prayed for you. What a blessing to have someone pray over you morning and night.
I have such sweet memories of visiting with Carolyn. Thank you, my friend, for all the times we shared.
