Bishop Randy Moore's Obituary
Bishop Randy Moore, age 69, of Folsom, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026. He was born on December 29, 1956, in Newton, Mississippi.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 40 years, Laura Willie Moore; children, David Moore, Michael Moore (Callie), Sarah Moore Monnerjahn (Zachary), and Dylan Moore; grandchildren, Sora Moore, Vincent Moore, and Rory Moore; daughter-in-law, Ashlie Chatagnier; and many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cloyce Franklin Moore and Maxine Hicks Moore; and brothers, Eddie Moore and David Moore.
Randy grew up in Yazoo City, Mississippi, and graduated from Yazoo City High School. He worked in many capacities over his life, including as a pastor, Sunday school teacher, daycare manager, airplane riveter, sock factory worker, commercial cleaner, and bus driver, across Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, and Louisiana.
He loved music, could build most anything, and would help people anyway he could. Most of all, Randy was a teacher. He taught scripture, music, and life lessons to countless people. The impact of his wisdom and love lives on in everyone who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Rev. Moore may be made to Savannah Branch Church of God.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Savannah Branch Church of God, 11067 Highway 1078, Folsom, Louisiana, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Willie Cemetery, Willie Cemetery Road, Folsom, Louisiana.
