We will miss Al, our neighbor and friend. We've been neighbors since 1985 and Bob Baxter Rd. will not feel the same without him. When we first moved across the street with our two labs, long gone now, Al was always kind enough to watch and feed them when we traveled. Quite generous, considering he was not a "dog person!" Our dogs ran all over his property and he never once complained! Not to us at least, poor Mary Ann probably got an earful but, that's another story.
He kept a protective lookout over the neighborhood. Always ready to offer a helping hand or an encouraging chat, whichever was needed. We felt safer knowing he was there.
We miss you already. Rest in peace our friend.
