Joseph “Joe” Fetter III passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at the age of 72 surrounded by his family. Known to his family as Buddy, he leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Joan Rester Fetter, his daughters, Melissa Read Obituary

Dear Joanie and family, Errol and I enjoyed being around Buddy and you. Buddy was sweet, kind and fun to be with. We got a kick out of his story about his boat passing him in his car on his way to go fishing. I may have the details not quite right, but his telling was funny. He was blessed with a loving family and friends and will be missed.

It was an honor and privilege to have served with Buddy as an usher at FBC for several years. He was always pleasant and courteous and he amazed me with how many people he knew and those who new him. It almost seemed he knew everyone who either came through our Door 3 or passed by. We often exchanged fishing stories since we both liked to fish and were both tournament fishermen at one time although we never fished against each other that I recall. He was a devout Christian and loved his family and always exhibited those traits.
One cute little thing. We both have grandchildren who play soccer and swapped stories and schedules without realizing that my youngest grandson and his grandson were ON THE SAME TEAM, and that we attended the same game without realizing it for quite a while.

Dear Joanie, Melissa, and Amanda and your families, Buddy was such a positive and caring Christian husband, father, grandfather, mentor and friend to many. My sons, Nathan and Adam, my husband, Ron, and I are deeply saddened by his passing. We all feel blessed that Buddy was our friend and mentor these many years. We pray that the loving memories of the life you shared with Buddy and the knowledge that he is at peace and resting in our Lord's loving embrace brings you solace in the days and years to come. Mr. Buddy was one of the nicest people I have ever known. I will never forget his kind words when I informed him my father had passed. He will certainly be missed. My prayers go out to his family.
