Scot Thomas Treitler

Scot Thomas Treitler, at the age of 49, passed on the morning of January 23, 2023, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital surrounded by people who loved him dearly. He was born December 4, 1973, in New Orleans to Linda Perkins Treitler and Herbert Oliver Treitler, Jr. He was a loving husband to Holly Cook Treitler of 27 years, a remarkable father to his adoring children; Zoe Alexandra Treitler, Ella Noelle Treitler, and Owen Scot Treitler. He was a caring sibling to Brian Michael Treitler. Scot will be dearly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful lifelong friends. A native of Chalmette, LA, and proud resident of Mandeville, LA for over 16 years, Scot graduated from Brother Martin High School, in 1991. After graduating he attended Loyola University New Orleans and earned his Bachelors. He then earned his master’s at University of New Orleans. Scot began his professional career as a finance manager. Scot was successful and well respected as a Finance Director in multiple locations. Scot was such an inspiration to many. He had so much love to give and cared for so many people. He was always so high energy and wasn’t afraid to crack a few dad jokes just to embarrass the kids. In his earlier years he was always up to no good, and even then, his passion for the arts was clear. The only thing he ever really cared about was being able to provide for his family, and even though he was not ready to go, he would have wanted everyone to live on. By doing that, he will live on in our memories and hearts. In lieu of flowers, a college fund for Scot and Holly’s children has being set up. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington Louisiana on Friday, January 27th, 2023 at 3:00 PM with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM until service time. Interment will be private.
