Patrick Rudy Alexander

On May 21, 1971, a beacon of love and warmth entered the world as Otis "O.B" Alexander, Jr. and Mamie Lee Alexander welcomed their fourth child, whom they lovingly named Patrick Rudy Alexander. Patrick, affectionately known as "Pat," was born into a family of seven siblings, surrounded by the nurturing embrace of a close-knit home. It was within this loving environment that the seeds of hard work, Christian values, and an unwavering love for family were sown deep within his heart. A proud 1990 graduate of Covington High School, Pat embodied the essence of strong work ethics. He was a man who spoke his mind with honesty, regardless of whether his words were welcome or not. His petite yet powerful frame, combined with an unshakable confidence, created a unique individual determined to manifest his dreams. Pat shared this drive with his close family and friends, believing that their success was a reflection of his own. Though his time on Earth may seem too short, Patrick lived his life to the fullest and found contentment in his accomplishments. Throughout his adult years, he diligently contributed to his community through various jobs to provide for his beloved family. Among his proudest achievements was the ownership of PA Kennels, where he took immense pride in breeding pit bulldogs. He also opened A & A Every Weekend, a clothing store named after his daughters, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to family. When not managing his businesses, Patrick found joy in exploring new horizons. He cherished trips to Texas, attended concerts, and reveled in parades. His extended family felt his special affection as he often took nieces and nephews on these adventures. Memories of Mardi Gras parades, holiday fireworks, and spirited Saints football games will forever echo in the hearts of those who shared these moments with him. Patrick's legacy endures through the love of his high school sweetheart and lifelong soulmate, Jeanne Burris. His spirit lives on through his daughters, Alexa Alexander, Allyson Alexander, and Aleysha Mayes. His love is ever-present in the lives of his grandchildren, Karsen Pichon, Jaylah Dickerson, and Isabella Celestine. Beyond the family he created, Patrick's impact extended to numerous individuals who played significant roles in shaping the caring, strong man we all adored. As a result of his untimely departure, Patrick leaves behind aching hearts in his brothers Raymond Alexander, Otis (Phylis) Alexander, III, Vincent (Renee) Alexander, Rodney Alexander, and Adam (Lovelta) Alexander. Cherishing his memories is his sister, Vicky (Ricky) Thomas. Patrick's extensive family network, including a multitude of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, mourns his loss deeply. His great nephew, Camryn Washington, who he raised and loved as his own son, will forever carry his legacy forward. Though our hearts were unprepared, Patrick's life found its completion on September 9, 2023, as he joyfully reunited with loved ones who had transitioned before him, including his parents, O.B. Alexander, Jr. and Mamie Lee Alexander, and his sister, Brenda Bell. In the warmth of our memories, Patrick's spirit lives on, a testament to a life well-lived and a heart that radiated love to all fortunate enough to know him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 3:00 PM with visitation beginning at 2:00 PM until service time.
