Lauren Jean LeJeune Scariano

Lauren Jean LeJeune Scariano passed away on October 6, 2022 in Covington, LA. She was born on April 28, 1947 in New Orleans, LA to the late Ovie J. “Sonny” LeJeune and Lorraine V. LeJeune. Lauren was the loving mother of Sunny J. Scariano Johnson (Rudy) and Stanley J. Scariano, Jr. (Rachelle). “Grammy” was the proud grandmother of Caroline Johnson, Mason Scariano and Kaylee Scariano. She was the sibling of Linda L. Klotz, Randall A. LeJeune (Elisabetta), Lisa L. Matherne, and Gary J. LeJeune (Mi’Kyung). Lauren loved and was loved by her many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Lauren was happiest when spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed watching them grow and was there as they reached many milestones. She loved to travel, cruise the seas, cook and bake, and spend time on the balcony of a beach condo with a good book and a cup of coffee. She enjoyed spending time with her life-long friend, Bonnie, having lunch, playing cards with her friends or just sharing memories. Lauren spent over a decade working in the educational facility of the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center. She enjoyed her job and considered her colleagues as friends and family. Most importantly, she was loved! Though we mourn her passing, we know that she is now smiling, healthy, and happy to be reunited with her parents, Ovie and Lorraine LeJeune, brother, Randy LeJeune, and other family and friends preceding her in death. We will continue forward carrying her in our hearts! Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral service at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 10:30 AM with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow the service at Cypress Grove Cemetery, 120 City Park Ave., New Orleans, LA.
